Olga
is from Ukraine, born and raised there, linguist by education and
technical
translator (link) by profession.
Photography
became a significant part of her life after her family moved to the US in
1999.
She bought a first point-and-shoot digital camera named Nikon Coolpix in
2000, and became a photography addict very soon. 10 years and 5 or 6 cameras later, now she is using Canon SLRs and Leica, participates in shows and exhibits, and keeps shooting every moment she can.
Olga considers herself lucky because she shares her passion for photography with
her
husband, Igor Svibilsky. He is an award-winning photographer, published worldwide in various magazines and newspapers. Igor's latest work can be seen at his website www.igorsvibilsky.com. Recently he had two personal photographic exhibits, in SoHo Photo Gallery, New York, in May, www.sohophoto.com, and in Dalet Gallery in Philadelphia, in December 2010-January 2011, www.daletart.com.
In 2003-2008 they were actively participating in art shows
and festivals, and several hundreds of their images are now in private collections.
They have their joint online photo gallery
at www.photographyforever.com, designed by
Igor.
They live in Central New Jersey and spend their weekends traveling around New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware, in search of those
magic moments of perfect light.
They visited almost
all State Parks in NJ and Eastern PA. The ocean ocean is only
40
miles from their house, and it take a couple of hours to get
to the Appalachian mountains. On vacations, usually in the fall,
they go to Vermont and New England, to take pictures of
the fall foliage.
In the summer of 2005 they went to Northern California and Oregon, you can
see some pictures of California Redwoods and Pacific Coast in Olga's Landscapes
Galleries.
In May 2006 they came back to the West Coast and traveled down the Oregon Coast.
In June 2007 they went to a photo trip to California Big Sur, San Francisco, Morro Bay, Monterey, Point Reyes, Carmel, Gualala and many other places on the West Coast.
In 2009 and 2010 they went to Israel, exploring the beauty of this country.
They both are members of Princeton Photography Club in NJ.
Digital photography gave an impulse
to the development of creativity, especially the use of Photoshop.
Digital photography also led them to a web design. Olga
has
started developing small web pages sharing photographs of their
life in America with friends and family back in Ukraine. Eventually web design became part of services she provides, you can check the Web Design section to see her latest work. As part of her volunteer work Olga designed and is maintaining since 2001 a website for the Princeton Photography Club: www.princetonphotoclub.org.
"Life is
full of beautiful things that can be witnessed by simply opening your
eyes...
And clicking the shutter of your camera..."
