Olga
is from Ukraine, born and raised there, linguist by education and
technical
translator (link) by profession.
Photography
became a significant part of her life since her family moved to the US in
1999.
After they bought a first point and shoot digital camera in
2000, a non-stop self-educating process
about digital photography started. Since 2003 she has
been using digital SLRs by Canon.
The very first picture taken with Canon D30 won a Picture of the Day
contest on
www.photoblink.com, on-line photo competition and forum. Here

Photo of the Day.
Olga considers herself lucky because she shares her passion for photography with
her
husband, Igor Svibilsky. He is a software engineer by profession, and because of his background in IT he is a much better digital photographer.
His images are b&w and sepia-toned. He spends long hours
post-processing them. And he knows
almost everything about digital printing. He
prints, mats and frames for both of them, and his printed work must be
seen.
Recently they have started participating in art shows
and festivals. They have their joint online photo gallery
at www.photographyforever.com, designed by
Igor.
But Olga likes to have and maintain her own Web site.
They live in Central New Jersey and spend their weekends traveling around New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware, in search of those
magic moments of perfect light.
They went to almost
all State Parks in NJ and Eastern PA. The Atlantic ocean is only
at 40
miles distance from their house, and it take 1.5 hours to get
to the Appalachian mountains. On vacations, usually in the fall,
they go to Vermont and New England, to take pictures of
the fall foliage.
In the summer of 2005 they went to Northern California and Oregon, you can
see some pictures of California Redwoods and Pacific Coast in Olga's Landscapes
Galleries.
In May 2006 they came back to the West Coast and traveled through
all the Oregon Coast.
In June 2007 they went to a photo trip to California Big Sur, San Francisco, Morro Bay, Monterey, Point Reyes, Carmel, Gualala and many other places on the West Coast.
They both are members of Princeton Photography Club in NJ.
The virtually unlimited possibilities of digital photography made it very easy and gave an impulse
to the development of creativity, especially the use of Photoshop.
Digital photography led them eventually to a Web design. Olga
has
started developing small Web pages sharing photographs of their
life in America with friends and family back in Ukraine. Now
it became part of services she provides, you can check the Web Design section to see her latest designs. As part of her volunteer work Olga designed and is maintaining for more than 7 years a web site for the Princeton Photography Club: www.princetonphotoclub.org.
"Life is
full of beautiful things that can be witnessed by simply opening your
eyes...
And clicking the shutter of your camera..."
